A little bit of background:
A water-baby through and through, Warren and his family have been involved in water sports and swimming in some way for 4 generations. Between swimming, Robben Island Crossings, Life Saving,Open Water Swimming, racing, paddling and touring, Warren has found time to bring his love of swimming to everyone. 1SOMS is aimed at making open water swimming fun and accessible and enjoyable to anyone and everyone who would like to be involved.
The aim of the swim is not to race, but to participate, and the 1st Sunday of Month Swim was started in 2006 to do just that.
